Pack of dogs survives icy 10-mile journey back home after being ‘kidnapped’ in China

  • A group of seven dogs, including golden retrievers, German shepherds, and corgis, travelled 10 miles back home in China after going missing.
  • The dogs were reportedly stolen from several homes in the same village in Changchun, Jilin province.
  • They embarked on their journey down a busy highway in freezing conditions, with temperatures dropping below 1C.
  • A video filmed on 15 March showing the pack moving in unison went viral online.
  • A volunteer from a local rescue group suggested that the animals had been kidnapped for dog meat.
