Ozzy Osbourne: Tony Iommi shares emotional tribute to Black Sabbath frontman one year after his death

  • Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi paid tribute on the first anniversary of his "dear friend" Ozzy Osbourne 's death, expressing disbelief “that he’s not with us”.
  • Osbourne, known as the Prince of Darkness and a co-founder of Black Sabbath, died aged 76 last July, shortly after a farewell concert with his bandmates.
  • Fellow Black Sabbath members Bill Ward and Geezer Butler also shared tributes, the latter remembering Osbourne's enduring legend and the final show in their hometown.
  • His wife, Sharon Osbourne, told BBC Radio West Midlands: “He never tried to be anything other than what he was, and he would tell you the truth about everything and that was him, you knew where you were with him.”
  • Daughter Kelly Osbourne described her father's passing as “the hardest thing” she has endured, praising his working-class background and thanking him for “making me who I am”.
