Ozzy Osbourne has given an update on his health after he endured major surgery on his back last month.
The 73-year-old rock legend went under the knife in June – with wife Sharon, 69, rushing to his bedside and being forced to drop out of her TalkTV talk show.
While the exact nature of and reason for Ozzy’s surgery have yet to be revealed, the star says he is recovering well following his procedure.
Ozzy was at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday to celebrate the new artwork for his upcoming new album, titled Patient Number 9, which was designed by Todd McFarlane.
While at the comic convention, Ozzy spoke to Entertainment Tonight and discussed his own experience of being a patient - or rather, his recovery from hospital.
He said: "I like to see people, you know. That's been the hardest thing of the past three years, because I've been trying to recover from my surgery.”
Revealing he is on the mend, he added: “I’m getting there. It's a slow climb back, you know?"
Last month, Ozzy opened up about his surgery, writing on social media: "I am now home from the hospital recuperating comfortably.
"I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery."
While Sharon also thanked fans for their support during his recovery.
She wrote online: "Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy's surgery!
"Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him."
Earlier in the year, Ozzy hinted that he may be going under the knife in order to address a back injury that he sustained in 2003 during a bike accident.
He told Classic Rock: "I’m just waiting on some more surgery on my neck.
”I can’t walk properly these days. I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road."
Meanwhile, in a recent chat with Sirius XM, Ozzy revealed his hellraising days are behind him.
He revealed he had spent £600 on legal cannabis from a shop near his California home before realising he didn’t even want to smoke it.
He explained: “I got it and I thought what the *** have I bought that for? Four ounces? I just had Covid so I can’t smoke anyway. I’d had one of those thoughts ‘that would be good’. But I never smoked one.”
He added: “The thing that keeps me away from it now is I got real with me. One of the main reasons I have embraced my family is because I am not out of my ****ing face any more.”
