Ozzy Osbourne confirms he is moving back to UK as everything is 'ridiculous' in the US

Ozzy Osbourne is set to permanently return to the UK with wife Sharon after several years living in Los Angeles.

The Black Sabbath frontman, 73, is set to up sticks and return to his homeland after spending the best past of the last two decades in California with his three children; Aimee, 38, Kelly, 37, and Jack, 36.

Ozzy and Sharon, who recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last month, own a huge Grade II listed mansion in Buckinghamshire where they previously divided their time with alongside their Californian home.

However, the family have been concerned by the increasing number of mass shootings in the country and have opted to return home.

Speaking to The Metro, Ozzy said: "Everything’s f****** ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings.

"And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert … It’s f****** crazy."

Ozzy surprised everyone, even his Black Sabbath band-mates, when he defied the odds to perform at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in his hometown of Birmingham earlier this month.

Speaking after the spectacular show, which saw Ozzy sing the 1970 classic Paranoid, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi said he never thought it would happen after the lead singer had an operation recently to modify pins in his neck and spine following a bad fall at his LA home in 2019.

"That last operation was only a few weeks ago and doctors told Ozzy he couldn’t fly,” he told Birmingham Live.

"We’d been invited to perform at the Games a long time ago, but because of Ozzy’s condition I’d forgotten we’d even been asked.

"I ended up performing solo at the opening ceremony with other musicians who I’d never met before. Ozzy then got in touch with me to see if he could come and play at the closing ceremony."

Tony added he didn’t think Ozzy would be able to do it because of his operation – but was then told he was coming over and everyone needed to keep it a secret.

The 74-year-old guitar legend continued: "I don’t know how Ozzy managed to get here from LA without anybody spotting him. I don’t think he came on a private jet."
