Oxford stretch of River Thames to get bathing water status

A stretch of the River Thames in Oxford will be given bathing water status, paving the way for more action to ensure it is safe and clean for swimmers.

The popular spot in Port Meadow, a large park in the city, is the second river in England to be granted this.
