Owners of Glasvegan seek someone to take over much-loved vegan eatery

The owner of a popular vegan café in the city centre is hoping to find someone to take over the reins of her much-loved business after she was forced to close.

Arita Bereza, who opened the Glasvegan in St Enoch's Square in 2018, is stepping away and had been set to close the eatery for good, but posted on social media that after an outpouring of support for the business she is on the lookout for someone as passionate as she is about the plant-based lifestyle to step in and take it over as it is.

Following its closure on November 27, Glaswegians had been worried they'd lose the much loved plant-based site, which is known for its 'Pure Deid Vegan' signage, but Arita has taken time to explain what the future holds on Instagram.
