A brand new hair salon designed for children is set to open in a Nottinghamshire town and local residents think ‘it’s brilliant’.
Kool Kidz Cutz is due to open its doors in Main Street, Kimberley, on April 4. In June 2019, Kool Kidz Cutz opened its first salon in on Birchwood Road, Wollaton, with the business now branching out into Kimberley.
The Wollaton site has themed car chairs, with Disney characters painted on the walls. Disney movies are also shown for the children to watch.

Back when the first salon opened in 2019, owner Anne Duggan explained that the concept had been 10 years in the making.
In a facebook post, Kool Kidz Cutz said: “We are coming to Kimberley. Now taking bookings for boys and girls. 59 main street Kimberley no more stress for parents, dads can have theirs done too.”
Ahead of the opening in April, local residents have shared excitement for the new business opening in Main Street. Yvonne Smith, 45, said: “It’s always good to see a new business, especially a small town like Kimberley. Especially something like this where it could be something great for kids. But also for those on the autistic spectrum. It looks pretty good.”
Mum-of-two Sammie Parker, who is 34 years old and lives in Kimberley, added: “I think that’s such a good idea. It’s a cool concept really, I would have never thought about something like this. We are pretty lucky with the range of businesses we have here, it’s nice to see something new.”
Another local resident, retired Joseph Scott, has lived in the area for 30 years. The 74-year-old said: “I’m glad we are getting something new in Kimberley. With the cost of living crisis you always hear about shops closing and never opening.
“I think it’s really good. I think it’s nice to have something brand new, especially for families. I hope it does well.”
