Owner's photo of dog sitting like a 'weirdo' leaves people in stitches

Every dog has its quirks - it's just some are more obvious than others.

Owner Brittany Lashay has called her dog out for being a "weirdo" after sitting in a human-like position.

She couldn't help but share her blue nose pitbull's strange seating position on Twitter, stating she has never seen him sit this way before.

Brittany, from Orlando, Florida, said: "I've had my dog, Sparks, for three years. He just started sitting like that, so I decided to post it on Twitter because it’s so funny.

“I think he does it because he wants attention, but I love him so much so he definitely gets my attention."

Her post racked in more than 1.2 million likes and 189,000 retweets, with users commenting on how shy the pup looks in the pictures.

One user said: "Not to be dramatic but I’d die for your dog," while another user added: "Man tell him to pay the bills that ain't no dog."

A third user said: "When you come over but you're not comfortable like that yet."

This isn't the first time a dog has been compared to a human as a crossbreed captured hearts for looking like English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.

The dog, thought to be a mix between a Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu, went viral after his picture was shared on Reddit.

The user wrote: "This dog looks like Ed Sheeran."

While most users agreed the dog looks like the award-winning artist, others drew their own comparisons to other famous faces.

One user said: "It looks more like Sia," while another added: "More like Frank from Shameless".

However, some found the dog's human-like appearance unsettling, saying "This dog makes me uncomfortable - he has seen into my soul."

Another agreed: "He looks like he's going to give you a stern talking to because you arrived home 10 minutes later than your curfew.

"But the resemblance to Ed Sheeran is right on the money. The resemblance is uncanny."
