The owner of a cafe that was left a bad review by a customer irked about being served “appalling” weak tea has hit back, calling them a “wet wipe”.
Coast Cafe, bar and gift shop in Rhos on Sea didn't hold back, calling the customer’s TripAdvisor review in which they wrote about being “a fool” for paying £3.40 for two cups of tea, a "crock of s**t".
In a review entitled: "Don't go here appalling”, reviewer lenlenlena scored the cafe two out of five.
According to North Wales Live, they wrote: “Called in today to get two takeaway tea's (sic).... what an experience, not in a good way.
"Tea was well hot water and milk little sign a tea bag had been in all for a sum of £3.40 for 2 tea's (sic).
"Heaving (sic) a laugh appalling tea's better off going 100 yards to forties or the tea place on the front in Rhos opposite this so-called cafe.
"First time and last time to this cafe.
"Try alternatives rip off or what and what was suppose to be tea was literally hot water and milk.
"Price - fool me for paying it but never again"
The critic has left a total of seven reviews on TripAdvisor, where all businesses they've visited have come under fire.
But Darren Randle, whose Cafe and Gift Shop scores an overall ranking of four-and-a-half out of five on TripAdvisor and is Ranked number #1 out of a total of #24 restaurants and cafes in the area, has 407 reviews, was quick to defend its good reputation.
He replied: "Jesus I’ve never heard such a crock of s**t.
"Firstly it’s £3.60 and we hardly get bad reviews unlike taking a look at all your reviews which you have left other premises giving them bad reviews.
"People like me and my staff work bloody hard but obviously can’t please a wet wipe like you.
"Hope you find what you're looking for in your life and stop taking your troubles out on hard working businesses!!
"Lots of love x"
