I’m a Celebrity fans declared a ‘state of alarm’ on Friday night after new bookies favourite Owen Warner was told he ‘might be’ going home from the jungle. And, heading into Sunday's final, the soap star had slipped to third in the odds.
While he was very much in the middle of the pack as far as bookies were concerned, when the new series of the ITV show kicked off. Hollyoaks actor Owen has crept further and further into contention as the weeks have gone on, so much so that, earlier this week, he edged out England Lionesses hero Jill Scott to be the new favourite to snatch the jungle crown, as many bookies could not separate the two in the odds.

One took to Twitter to post: "OWEN WAS IN THE BOTTOM TWO??? PARDON??" A second, equally shocked, tweeted: "Owen being in the bottom two and not matt Hancock. Is this a joke?"
Trying to restore some calm and pointing out the results are meant 6 be in 'random order' another reacted: "Just because Owen was called in the bottom two doesn't mean the votes reflect that, look at the past voting data"
Hours before Sunday's I'm A Celebrity final, Owen slipped behind Matt Hancock in the odds, having been favourite earlier in the week. Jill Scott is the overwhelming favourite to win.
