Champions League winner Owen Hargreaves waxed lyrical about Rangers' epic Europa League victory over German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund.
The former Bayern Munich and Manchester United star was left open-jawed by the white-hot atmosphere created in Glasgow as Marco Rose's side were defeated 6-4 on aggregate.
Rangers deserved their 2-2 draw after Gio van Bronckhorst 's half-time tweaks as James Tavernier netted the first and last goal, in between a scare created by Jude Bellingham and Donyell Malen's strikes.
And Hargreaves is convinced the rest of the Europa League will be in notice ahead of the draw that takes place at 11am.
Speaking on BT Sport, Hargreaves said: “I think the rest of Europe will be taking notice, absolutely.
“The amount goals they score, the way they play and Ibrox is not a place other teams will want to go and play at.
“Ibrox is a stadium like Anfield, it can grab a hold of the game and if the players match that intensity then it’s a very difficult place.
“They’re not one of the favourites on paper but the way they’re performing they’ll believe they can make more noise in the competition."
The ex-England international paid a special tribute to supporters within Ibrox for the wall of noise they created.
He added: "To knock out a team like Borussia Dortmund is some achievement – they were brilliant over the two legs.
“After two years of Covid this is what players and fans dream of - playing in front of a crowd like that.
“It’s such a beautiful feeling to win a game against the favourites. It was huge moment for Glasgow Rangers and for Scottish football."
And Hargreaves had special praise for James Tavernier, after the Rangers skipper netted three goals over the two legs and was a constant menace in the second half after the switch to 3-5-2.
He said: “Whether it’s penalties, free kicks he’s magnificent in these moments – calm as you like.
“His leadership in this team is so important. And it’s not normal for a player in his position to get the numbers that he does. He’s a joy to watch."
