Owen Coyle has opened up on his decision to leave Queen's Park as he admits he departs with a 'heavy heart'.
The Spiders boss has decided to step down as head coach of the Scottish Championship side following 12 months in the hot seat. The ambitious south siders lost out on the final day of the regular season to Dundee in a must-win clash to lift the league title. They ended up finishing the season in third and entered the Premiership play-off route but two defeats to Partick Thistle in an 8-3 aggregate loss means they will remain in Scotland's second tier.
The 56-year-old has hailed Queen's Park as a wonderful club as he sent a personal thank you to the 'amazing' band of supporters who follow the club week in, week out.
