Drivers should be prepared for major roadworks beginning on Friday, April 1.
Essential maintenance is expected to commence on the A78 from Manson Road overbridge to the Warrix Interchange.
The £572,000 project, headed up by Amey on behalf of Transport Scotland, is expected to run until Monday, April 11.
The work on southbound A78 will be completed using both overnight closures and continuous contraflow detailed below.
Next weekend, an overnight closure of the southbound A78 is expected between Friday, April 1, until 6am Saturday, April 2.
A 24-hour contraflow will be in operation from 6am on Saturday, April 2 until 8pm on Sunday, April 10.
If all goes according to plan, the last overnight closure will take place on Sunday, April 10 at 8pm until Monday, April 11 at 6am to dismantle contraflow operation.
Prepare for a diversion route during these times from Eglinton Interchange to the Newhouse Interchange via Long Drive
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
