Over 80 alleged stalkers arrested and 47 charged in first year of new legislation in Northern Ireland

Over 80 alleged stalkers have been arrested in the first year of new legislation in Northern Ireland.

The legislation was introduced to NI in April 2022 which criminalised stalking for the first time.

Since then, the PSNI has arrested 88 alleged stalkers and charged 47.
