Crunchyroll is kicking off its Ani-May celebrations early by announcing a whole stack of new content making its way to the streamer, including Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc.
That's right, over seven months after it premiered in theaters, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has finally set a streaming date, and will hit Crunchyroll on April 30, as announced by the streamer in a press release.
Crunchyroll announced in February that the movie would soon be making its way to the site this Spring. However, this is sooner than we expected. When Reze Arc hits the site, it will be available in both subtitled and dubbed formats.
Serving as a direct sequel to the first season of the Chainsaw Man anime series, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc sees Denji, aka Chainsaw Man, face his deadliest battle yet in a brutal war between devils, hunters, and secret enemies. The franchise is based on the hit manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto, and the movie adapts chapters 39 to 52, known as the Bomb Girl Arc. The story will continue with Chainsaw Man season 2, which is set to adapt the manga's International Assassins arc.
The film premiered in Japan on September 19, 2025, and later hit US theaters just over one month later. The feature proved to be a big hit with fans, grossing over $174 million worldwide and earning an impressive 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Crunchyroll has a few more tricks up its sleeve during Ani-May. As well as bringing celebrity ambassadors on board to celebrate the genre, the site will host weekly global YouTube watch parties and its first-ever 7-day anime marathon on Twitch. Then, at the end of the month, Crunchyroll will host the 10th annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards live from Tokyo on May 23, which will be available to watch on TikTok.
The schedule can be found on Crunchyroll's dedicated Ani-May site. For more, check out the best anime on Crunchyroll right now, and our guides to the Reze Arc post-credits scene and what to read in the manga after Reze Arc.
