Since Israel launched its war against Hamas in Gaza on October 7 of last year, more than 100,000 Palestinians have been wounded, as reported by the health ministry in the enclave. Over the past 48 hours alone, 487 people have been injured, bringing the total number of injuries to 100,282 since the conflict began — approximately one in every 22 individuals in Gaza, based on health ministry data.
The health ministry also disclosed that at least 42,718 Palestinians have lost their lives since the commencement of the conflict on October 7. The ongoing Israeli offensive in response to the Hamas-led attacks has resulted in a dire humanitarian crisis affecting the entire population of over 2.2 million people residing in Gaza.
