Over 10 million metal-bristle grill brushes sold at Home Depot recalled due to ‘ingestion hazard’

Several types of Nexgrill grill brushes have been recalled due to the risk of loose bristles detaching and leading to 'serious internal injuries' - (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission)

Nexgrill has issued a voluntary recall of over 10.2 million of its metal-wire bristle grill brushes sold at Home Depot after reports of bristles detaching and causing “serious internal injuries.”

On Thursday, the grill manufacturer recalled six types of its grill brushes, stating that “small metal wire bristles can detach from the brushes and stick to the grill or food, posing an ingestion hazard or risk of serious internal injuries that could require surgery.”
