Over ₹1 crore cash stolen in Dharwad

Thieves broke into the office of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) in Dharwad and decamped with cash worth over ₹1 crore on Monday night.

According to a complaint lodged at Vidyagiri Police Station in Dharwad, the theft took place on Monday night.

According to the police, SDKDRP trains women self-help groups to take up self employment and provides loans through IDBI Bank. The amount collected as instalment from borrowers was kept in the lockers of the office as the bank was closed for Dasara holidays.
