Over 1,000 revellers evaded police to attend 'secret' rave on industrial estate during Easter bank holiday

While most of us were tucked up scoffing chocolate eggs this weekend, there was a secret illegal rave taking over an industrial estate with more than 1,000 people in attendance. The event, which was known as EggTech, was a techno rave organised using coded messages.

Revellers managed to evade the police in order to take over an industrial estate in an event that spanned more than 12 hours. Those taking part only discovered the location late on Saturday, with some travelling hundreds of miles to go, WalesOnline reports.

The rave, which reportedly happens every year on Easter Sunday, took place at Kenfig Industrial Estate in Margam, Wales - but some travelled from as far as Totnes, Gloucester, Reading and Lincoln to the party.
