Over 1,000 people attended a festival celebrating Dublin's vibrant communities.
The Clongriffin Multicultural Festival that took place on Sunday, May 14, saw people from over 50 different nationalities in attendance. The event was organised by Tasnuva Shamim Foundation Ireland (TSFI), a non-profit that supports and feeds the homeless, and Clongriffin Community Association at Father Collins Park in Donaghmede.
The festival aimed to promote a multicultural community through integration and inclusion. TSFI founder Shagor Shamim said: "TSFI has been feeding and supporting the homeless at the GPO since 2015 where we served over 250 people every week 1000 people every month over 12000 people a year."

He added: "Besides supporting the homeless TSFI also promotes multicultural community integration to spread peace, love, and unity."
The festival was also supported by the Bangladesh Community Dublin and Islamic Relief.
A number of local politicians including Green Party's Dearbhail Butler, Fianna Fail's Councillor Daryl Barron, Fine Gael's Local area Representative Supriya Singh, Sinn Fein's Councillor Micheal MacDonnacha, and Fianna Fail's Councillor Tom Brabazon attended the event.
