Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream has voluntarily recalled several Outshine Fruit Bar products distributed to retailers nationwide because they may contain glass. The company said it acted out of an abundance of caution after consumer reports of glass found in the product, and that no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date.
The recall was announced on Sunday and covers six-count boxes of 2.5-ounce paddle bars in strawberry, watermelon, grape, tangerine, and black cherry. An updated FDA posting also lists the Outshine 24-count 2.5-ounce Variety Pack. The original company announcement named only the five-six count flavors, and the variety pack was added afterward. No other Outshine products or varieties are affected.
