Outlander stars have spilled the beans on the new skills they have learned while starring in the hit time travelling series.
In a chat ahead of the new Starz series with Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, the cast-members revealed the achievements on set that they were most proud of.
John Bell who plays young Ian Murray in the series said: 'The biggest skill that I've learned this season in particular is being able to ride a horse while also commanding a dog. A horse whisperer and a dog whisperer at the same time."
South Wales born Alexander Vlahos who plays Allan Christie admitted language was a problem as he said: "The only thing that I had to learn new was the Scots -The Scottish accent - Quite daunting at first."
Mark Lewis Jones who plays Tom Christie said he needed to get back on the saddle, quite literally. Asked what he'd learned, he said: "A bit of horse riding."
Lauren Lyle who plays Marsali Fraser confessed learning to use her spinning wheel on the show was an education: "Well, if I can tell you a secret about that wheel.
"We spent so much time practising and actually learning how to do it all. I mean, I can put it on my CV."
Jessica Reynolds aka Malva Christie said she learned: "Manipulation."
And French actor Cesar Domboy who plays Fergus Fraser said it was difficult to digest the drink he needed to explaining: "Fergus gets into tasting a lot of his whisky. The best advice I received is playing drunk is like trying to hide that you're drunk all the time."
Paul Gorman who plays Kezzie Beardsley also claimed he learned some signing when his character had ear problems. He said: "Kezzie in Season five has a ruptured eardrum as a result of Aaron Beardsley boxing his ears in so we developed home signs with Carol Ann our dialect coach and Bea Webster, who's our deaf consultant so we can incorporate that into season six."
And English actress Caitlin O Ryan who plays Lizzie Wemyss added: "I'm still working on my Scottish accent every season."
