Outlander actor Sam Heughan went along to Paolo Nutini's OVO Hydro gig last night and cheered him on from the crowd.
The 42-year-old actor took to his Instagram story to share footage of the singer belting out his hit 'Iron Sky' which is a song Paolo says is all about 'home'.
Running at more than six minutes, Iron Sky is a soul number and features a Charlie Chaplin speech from his 1940 film, The Great Dictator.
Sam tagged the Paisley singer in the post, but it's not the first time he's shared his love for the song as back in 2014, he praised the song in a tweet, writing: "#PaoloNutini Iron Sky! Wowsers!" so he must have been delighted to hear it for himself in person.
Last week after Paolo performed the hit from his 2014 album Caustic Love, he told attendees at one of his string of dates at the Hydro that he has "a lot of love for Nicola Sturgeon".
Paolo, 35, delighted fans after taking to the stage and praising Scotland's First Minister. MSP Karen Adam took to Twitter to praise the singer for his special shout-out.
She said: “Tonight at the OVO after singing Iron Sky @paolonutini says ‘just to let you know, I’ve got a lot of love for @NicolaSturgeon’. Incredible gig.”
Kelly Given, star of Channel 4’s Make Me Prime Minister, also praised Nutini for his comment. "@PaoloNutini just told the hydro he loves @NicolaSturgeon, as if we needed another reason to stan x," she wrote.
The Scots singer kicked off his UK tour in October after releasing his first new album in eight years earlier this year.
