Outlander star Sam Heughan has been celebrating his birthday in style over the weekend as he turned 43 years old.
The Scots actor took to Instagram on Saturday to share a snap of the cake his production company surprised him with as he celebrated the day whilst on set.
Sam posed with the gorgeous cake which was topped with fruit and a birthday message piped in chocolate. He wrote: "Early Birthday cake from the fabulous @happyduckfilms crew! @eagleeyedrama"
Fans of the star and many celeb friends were quick to wish Sam, who plays Jamie Fraser, a happy birthday.
Outlander and Men In Kilts co-star Graham McTavish shared a sweet snap, captioning it: "To my dear friend and kilted camper companion @samheughan Happy Birthday mate. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. Here’s to you pal, your continuing success, and your very good health. ( P.S. don’t forget to" take off the parking brake)"
Actor Russell Tovey said: "Adorable birthday wishes x"
Diarmaid Murtagh penned: "Happy birthday @samheughand!"
@samheughan_frenchfan also commented: "What a nice touch, the cake looks delicious and your smile the most beautiful thing in the world ! Enjoy this moment !"

The 43-year-old recently announced there would soon be a new gin available in his Sassenach Spirits collection. He donned a kilt to announce the news.
