Fans of Outlander will be over the moon this morning after their favourite show finally arrived back on our screens.
The extended Season six premiere aired earlier on Sunday night (March 6) than expected and show lovers were all over social media within a few hours offering their views.
So much so, that when Outlander author and creator asked what they thought about new arrivals the Christies on Twitter, she received hundreds of responses.
In the episode, Patriarch Tom Christie (Mark Lewis Jones) was revealed to be an ex-Ardsmuir inmate who answered Jamie's call, arriving at Fraser's Ridge with daughter Malva (Jessica Reynolds) and son Allan (Alexander Vlahos), in search of a better life.
However, though fans agreed the casting was perfect they were already sure about one thing.
One wrote: "It looks to be a great season and Tom Christie and family are liken to Laoghaire. TROUBLE."
Another added: "At first, The Christies family looked normal but there's something odd or twisted about that family."
"Trouble coming from all 3," posted one concerned fan. "You see it and sense it!"
One person, who was worried they might attack the Protestant faith using the portrayal of Tom, was happy to see a more nuanced take.
They posted: "They are being played extremely well!
"Initially concerned that it would be a blanket statement against Protestant Christianity. But it's clear that Christie is a power-hungry man using "faith" to further his own ends."
While another person was delighted by the trio's performance, stating: "The Christie’s are very close to how I imagined them.
"Great casting. Great writing of the ep. And directing. The longer ep length was really good, allowed time for things to breathe more. It’s so nice to have them all back!"
Their acting was so good it seems that it's caused one fan to already despise Mr Christie.
They wrote: "I absolutely hate Tom, confusing regarding Son Alex … can’t figure daughter out quite yet… no! Don’t like them!"
The change in one scene from the original story has left one fan annoyed.
They posted: "Casting was terrific. Loved the back & forth 'mine is bigger than yours' with Jamie & Tom. Malva is perfect.
"Didn't like the change in the tartan storyline."
Another fan agreed: "Same. They didn’t connect the stones to working on the prison, either."
