Outdoor Leeds food and drink venue Chow Down has announced plans for its big 2023 return.
The popular venue, based at Temple Arches, will host an array of food and drink events, music and entertainment events over the spring and summer. The fun will kick off on Thursday, April 6.
New for this year is an urban garden with Chow Down also featuring an improved larger cocktail bar as well as bigger food offering. One of Leeds’ most popular pop-up restaurants, Braizin’ Squad, have been announced as one of the first resident vendors for 2023. Chefs Jamie Marrion, Jordan Kaye, and Michal Marud have extensive experience in the Leeds hospitality scene, having previously worked at Ox Club, Stockdales of Yorkshire, and various locations in Japan.

Jamie said: “Keep your eyes peeled for us at Chow Down this spring, expect Smokey flavours, braised meats all cooked over fire and regular specials as we like to keep everything fresh.” Chow Down will run a new Sunday brunch event this year.
While other food will be coming courtesy of Archchi’s, Cluck n Dough, Colombo Street, Fire and Dough, Hoi Polloi Street Kitchen, Homeboy Pizza Co, Nasi Lemak, Nikos Comfort Kitchen, Little Bao Boy, Little Red Food Cluck and Shoot The Bull among others.
Entertainment will come courtesy of big name DJs as well events including Camp Presents Drag Brunch, Guilty Pleasures and the return of Dog Social - one for the furry babies out there.
Matt Long, Chow Down founder and of New Citizens, said: “With the opening of our new urban garden, which will be the ideal spot to soak up the sun this summer, I expect a very busy season. In addition to our own Taco & Tequila weekender, we will be hosting a number of new events this season, such as Guilty Pleasures, Floating Art, the Battle of the Burger, the Wings fest in collaboration with Leeds Indie Food, and the Wings fest.”
