Out of date chicken found in kitchen of 'friendly Italian restaurant'

Forty different types of food were found to be out of date at an Italian restaurant in Wirral.

Nine day old cookie dough and out of date chicken were found in the kitchen of Est Italian in West Kirby. The restaurant describes itself as a “friendly Italian restaurant that West Kirby could be proud of.”

The business was criticised in a food hygiene report and served two legally binding notices after it was inspected by Wirral Council on July 15.
