Amanda Owen has empathised with embattled Ukraine citizens after three fighter jets 'shattered the peace' while she worked on her Yorkshire farm.
The 46-year-old Our Yorkshire Farm star has said that it is 'sobering' to think about what the people of Ukraine are going through as she tended to her flock of sheep.
The breakout star of the Channel 5 documentary series said the sound of the jets immediately made her think of what is happening in Eastern Europe.
While out on the fields of Ravenseat Farm, mum-of-nine Amanda posted a pic of her dog in black and white with the area surrounding them covered in snow.
Captioning the snaps, Amanda wrote: "Taking stock [three sheep emojis].
"Quietly going about our business when the peace was shattered by 3 fighter jets overhead.
"A sobering moment, when the people of the Ukraine were, just like us all, only days ago simply going about their daily lives & are now under attack. #war #unthinkable "
Amanda has also shared over the past few days the harsh conditions she has been working in while keeping her flock in check.
She posted a video of herself as she pulled her coat hood over her face with snow swirling in the skies.
This also meant that her connections to the world outside Ravenseat were disrupted, meaning that she was unable to update her fans on social media for 24 hours.
Amanda wrote alongside the video: "Weather related issues. *Lost internet connection yesterday but back online today*"
The shepherdess then followed this with a series of photos which showed her sheepdog braving a snow blizzard while her sheep huddled together during the snowstorm.
She also shared a pic of one of her sons in the snow, along with the caption: "Headlong into the storm"
Her followers urged her and the children to "stay safe" many commented with their concerns for the family as they continued to work in the blizzard conditions.
