Our map shows postcode areas affected by Yodel delivery delays

As Christmas draws ever closer families across the country are anxiously waiting to find out if their parcels will arrive in time. Parcel deliveries are normally hit by delays over the busy festive period. But this year Royal Mail strikes have added to the usual disruption, as people wait for presents to be delivered so they can be wrapped in time for Christmas Day.

Now delivery firm Yodel has warned customers in some areas that they could face “small delays”. A statement on the company’s website says: “As we head into the busy Christmas period, it may take us a couple of extra days to get your parcels to you in a few areas across the country. Our teams are working really hard to deliver all of your parcels to you.”

A Yodel spokesperson said: “Due to exceptional circumstances at this time of year, there are delays in certain parts of the UK. We are working extremely hard to deliver to customers as soon as possible. Please visit our website for live updates.”
