Woman baffled by soft sentence after years of abuse from ex-boyfriend
A young mum who was battered, threatened and cut by her abusive ex-boyfriend has spoken about the awful treatment she received at his hand. Kirsty Burrows suffered years of abuse at the hands of ex-boyfriend Jake Shaw after meeting him on an online dating site in 2015.
She said it didn't take long for the violent temper of the man who she was drawn to by his looks and charm to emerge.
90-year-old throws outfit together 'last minute' for her first ever Aintree races
A nan, 90, held back tears as she attended her first ever Aintree Races on Ladies Day of the Grand National. Great-great-grandmother Sadie Edwards said she threw her outfit together "last minute" before heading down the races.
Tributes pour in for man killed after being hit by 'stolen' Audi
Tributes, condolences and blessings flooded in after a man in his 60s was hit and killed by a Audi believed to have been stolen during a previous burglary. Police are searching for the driver of the Audi, who fled the scene on foot after crashing the car into a house.
