Parents are not able to collect their kids' belongings and staff have been left without wages after a Huyton nursery shut suddenly, with signs placed on its gates stating it would be "permanently closed".
50 staff have been laid off and 200 families left without childcare provision as a result of the closure, which has been described as "despicable". Parents have now been given a "horrible" update over refunds for the care they paid for.

A devastated mum has paid tribute to her son after his body was found in a woods near where he grew up. Cindy Meah told reporter Oliver Clay the grief over the loss of Ben was like "drowning."
City named among top places to visit
Liverpool was named as one of booking.com's top trending destinations for spring 2023 as the travel site said it was "no surprise," citing the city's rich architectural heritage, cathedrals, and football teams as part of the reason the city is so in demand.
