A moving gesture from a hospital for an ailing patient has touched the hearts of many readers. May Lloyd, 87, had been a Liverpool FC fan since she was nine and through her life would watch her team win almost every trophy they have in their cabinet

As May was dying her she never lost sight of the Reds and was well known on the Kop, especially thanks to the help of hospital staff, who in an "amazing" gesture moved her bed over to the window of the new Royal Liverpool Hospital with a view of Anfield in the distance.
