The heartbroken family of a man left with life-changing injuries after being attacked at a Mathew Street bar said "there's no closure" after the thug who attacked their son was given a "farce" sentence. James Guy attacked Kyle Brummell at Hardy's, leaving him unconscious on the dancefloor for about 40 minutes.
Kyle's mum Lynda, whose son had to learn to walk again, told the ECHO the family's life has been "turned upside down" and said "I feel like he's laughing at us all. We feel like we're living the sentence because of Kyle's injury."

She added: "He couldn't swallow, there was a risk of him choking. It's just been an absolutely horrendous time, the worst time in our entire lives.

A dad wanted after being charged with supplying crack cocaine and cannabis died suddenly in Spain. Paul Hepplestall was previously jailed after posting a video of himself threatening to blow up mosques and slash Muslims with a Samurai sword.
He called the video a "really bad mistake" and described himself as a "f****** d***head" for the video.
