It's finally Ladies Day - for some the best day of the Grand National festival - and we're so excited to see some of the brilliant outfits put together by those eager to be crowned winner, or just have a good time looking amazing. Unfortunately the weather isn't forecast to be great, but that won't stop anyone enjoying themselves.
The ECHO's own Catherine Murphy is one of the few lucky enough to sit on the panel of the Ladies Day Style Award this year, and she says for her it's all about the tailoring. Man's tooth split as he chewed on steak
A man was eating his dinner when he felt a crack in his teeth, and proceeded to spit out half a tooth. Ian Hatchard, from Lydiate, soon discovered the dentist he had been all his life had failed to diagnose a case of severe tooth decay after he went for a second opinion following an emergency consultation.
Mr Hatchard took his dentist to court and settled for an £8,000 out of court settlement.
Man killed as 'stolen' car hits him before crashing into house
A man was killed last night when he was hit by a BMW believed to have been stolen during a burglary. The car crashed into a house in Netherton before the driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot.
Police confirmed the man, in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man pointed fake gun at barman and told him he had until 'til 12' to get the money
A pair of thugs told a barman they had attacked "you are getting stabbed or shot" as they ran away from the scene. Jake Spencer and Kenny Scott had previously chased the same barman out of the pub and battered him at a nearby Tesco before they returned to the pub he worked and threatened him armed with an imitation firearm.
