We're getting closer and closer to Eurovision each day and the shape of the song contest is beginning to reveal itself. It was never going to be simple, and a massive operation is underway behind the scenes to make sure it goes as it should, and as safely as it should with a huge Merseyside Police operation underway.
Jonny Humphries spoke to the head of protective security operations at Merseyside Police about their operation - involving 5,500 police officers, many specifically trained - and how they intend to keep the public safe from any potential threats.

Teenager wanted over fatal 'Litherland running man' hit and run
Police have named a teenager wanted in connection with a fatal crash in Netherton. On Thursday, April 13 it was reported a black Audi had hit a man and crashed into a man on Morgan Mews and now police want to speak to a 17 year old who they believe could have information that could help them in their investigation.

A dad celebrating his stag-do after going to the Grand National on Saturday was knocked unconscious outside a bar, suffering a head injury. Lee Burns had to undergo three hour surgery after the incident and is now fighting for his life in an induced coma.
Terror alert 'substantial' as we approach Eurovision
This year Eurovision will be protected by a ring of police officers - 5,500 in fact - protecting the competition and its fans from potential threats. The terror alert across the whole of the UK is currently 'substantial' though Merseyside Police say there is currently no known specific threat to the song competition, still a massive protective operation is underway.
