Hello and welcome to this afternoon's Our Liverpool.
I took my first trip on one of the new Merseyrail trains at the weekend and I was pretty blown away by the whole 15 or so minutes on the Kirkby line. There's so much more space and there's none of that awkward knee-brushing that happens when the old trains are busy.
But they've been having some teething issues, with commuters frustrated by continuing problems which saw a host of services cancelled on the Kirkby line today.

Day two of doctors' 'fight for future of NHS'
Today marks the second day of the British Medical Association's strike action that's seen doctors and junior doctors walk out in a row over pay and conditions. Reporter Dan Haygarth spoke to those on the picket line about why they had taken the decision to strike.
One doctor said: "We've just been through nearly three years of the pandemic, we've been stretched, we've seen things that I will never forget in my entire lifetime. All we're asking for is to be fairly remunerated."
City Region in line for £80m budget boost
The Liverpool City Region is one of a number of areas that could benefit from nearly £1b of extra funding in tomorrow's budget announcement. Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is expected to announce the creation of new tech hubs to be formed around universities in England to "supercharge" growth in hi-tech industries.
The Spring budget will be announced tomorrow. Political editor Liam Thorp has the story.
Shoplifter's country-wide Asda and Tesco crime spree
Cristian Miron was jailed after a thefts at Tesco and Asda stores throughout the country. Miron played a leading role in a group which entered the supermarkets and stole thousands of pounds worth of alcohol, but was arrested after reentering an Asda in Sefton they had stolen from just days earlier.
