Our guide to Halloween events in Bristol including Scream Park and club nights

It's time to carve your pumpkins and dig out your favourite costume - the Halloween season is upon us. Bristol has a whole host of events on offer this year, meaning there will be plenty of opportunities to don your scariest fancy-dress.

There are tons of club nights this year along and also the return of the famous Scream Park at Avon Valley. If you're looking for something more laid back there are a number of scary film screenings throughout the month - including a cinema in a cemetery.

FEAR Avon Valley Scream Park

One of the scariest events of the season is back with its biggest season yet, offering a new scare attraction and scare experience. The Exorcism is launching this year featuring "the suffering of Evelyn Grace and face the demon within". Tickets to this unique experience are limited.

Joining the award-winning line-up of X4, VITA NOVA, Malefica and House of Clowns is The Core for a thrilling night of terror. And returning once more is the infamous fire show, thrilling funfair rides, and our iconic street entertainment, making sure that nowhere is safe. Tickets are from £35 and available to those aged 16 and over.

Motion's Halloween club nights and bingo events

Motion is hosting several Halloween events (Motion)

The popular Bristol nightclub has announced a woman-led line-up for its Halloween club night on October 29. It will feature this year’s dance music breakout stars Eliza Rose, Ellka, Sally C and Charlie Boon. Doors open at 10pm and the party continues until 5am. Early bird tickets are currently on sale for £17.30 but once sold out the prices will increase steadily until the final release has sold out (£28.30).

The nightclub is also hosting a Bingo Lingo event on October 29 and 30 earlier in the evenings. Each table for the bingo night can seat up to eight people - tickets have sold out for Saturday but there are still some available here for £11.25 each.

If you're looking for something on Sunday night leading into Halloween, Motion is also hosting a hip-hop Brooklyn Zoo rave - where the best dressed will receive a £250 prize. Tickets are £13.75 and selling fast.

Wake The Tiger's Danse Macabre

If you haven't been to Wake The Tiger yet now's your chance (Wake The Tiger)

For one night on October 28, shadow walkers, sky queens, junk lords and born survivors will experience the fantastical world of Meridia slip away into shadow and dust, and the dance of death will begin. From 6pm-1am, visitors can expect pop-up performers, games and high energy live bands and DJs to transcend them into darkness, set against the immersive backdrop of Meridia. Lost Horizon's Halloween Extravaganza

It's been described as the spookiest, queerest event in town - Lost Horizon's Punka Halloween Extravaganza is back. Fancy dress is wildly encouraged at this night that will feature drag acts, burlesque, DJ sets and live music from 7.30pm all the way until 2am on Friday (October 28). Tickets are £12 plus a small booking fee available online.

On Saturday, Brizzle Boys will present Brizzle Boos - a Halloween-themed Drag King cabaret night. Brizzle Boys are the South West's premier queer punk drag king cabaret night and one of the largest king nights in the UK - they'll be offering an excellent programme of Kings throughout the night for £13 per ticket.

Immersive cocktail night at The Raven

The Raven will be transformed into an immersive event for Halloween inspired by the tale of a haunted farm. The cocktail bar, which opened at the end of last year, will host a range of immersive theatre performances throughout the evening and has devised a special drinks menu for the occasion.

Costumes are encouraged and the best dressed will receive a prize. Tickets to The Cursed Grounds are £10 plus a booking fee and include a welcome drink, all-night entertainment and DJs until late - available online here.

Club Blanco at Propyard

Propyard is bringing its Halloween night back (Khris Cowley)

The return of Club Blanco will see Propyard recreate its cavernous, industrial playground on October 29. Across its two warehouse rooms, visitors can expect gruesome and groovy music from DJs Avalon Emerson, Job Jobse and DJ Budino, alongside a mind-melding AV show, which will transform the space into a monstrous dancehall. Bristol Halloween Discoland

What could be a better combination than disco and Halloween? Gravity Nightclub is hosting a six-hour themed event on October 30 with interactive live scares and professional FX makeup artists on site. Tickets start from just £5 a pop so be sure to book fast and don't forget to don your best costume.
