We are finally on TOTY (Team Of The Year) week, which means that, while loan Mbappe continues to cause terror in Rivals, the whole community strives to save up for what can be the game’s most relevant promo until the arrival of Team Of The Season in mid-2026.
What about us? Well, I don’t think there’s going to be a better time to make our predictions. Here are our picks for the upcoming EA FC 26 TOTY squads, as well as when the full team is scheduled to debut.

Goalkeepers
Thanks to their trophy-filled seasons, both Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hannah Hampton are our picks to take on the GK spots, with the former also having the luxury of being one of the game’s best Gold Rare GKs. Why does that matter? Well, picking a player as your Gold Rare TOTY loan does count as a vote.

Defenders
Thanks to Liverpool’s Premier League win and PSG’s European dominance, Marquinhos and Van Dijk were my picks for the CB roles, followed by Nuno Mendes in the right back position. It is also unlikely for Spurs’ Micky Van de Ven to miss on TOTY. After all, he is by far the most popular Gold Rare CB in FC 26. For the women’s side, we decided to go with Arsenal’s Leah Williamson, PSG’s Olga Carmona, and Chelsea’s duo of Millie Bright and Lucy Bronze.

As this year’s TOTY midfielder selection includes wide players (believe it or not), it’s not hard to see Lamine Yamal and either Raphinha or Salah scoring the starting spots within the men’s squad. Honestly, though, I only voted for Salah from the above, as even if his lack of a meta Gold Card does not help, 2025’s biggest aura farmer, Scott McTominay, deserves the recognition. Vitinha was then my final pick.
Among the women’s midfield and to no one’s surprise, we predict a full Barcelona lineup, with Aitana Bonmatí, Alexia Putellas, and Patri Guijarro taking the center stage. It’s also possible for Chloe Kelly to clinch a spot as an underdog in Guijarro’s place, given her role in England’s Euros win. I know you don’t want to hear this, but Claudia Pina is also sure to make it, followed by her Barcelona teammate Caroline Graham Hansen. Lastly, even if it’s easy to see the last spot going to Ewa Pajor for a Barcelona sweep, I hope Alessia Russo gets it, as she was one of the main stars behind Arsenal’s Champions League win over Barcelona, and a vital part of England’s Euros-winning team.

EA FC 26 TOTY Release Calendar
Unlike the game’s regular promos, such as the current Time Warp, TOTY is always released in small batches, with the first one — focused on the attackers and featuring its first TOTY Icon selection — being leaked to debut on January 16, 2026. The midfielder batch will then arrive on January 18, followed by the defenders/goalkeepers and the second Icon team on the 20th.
