A personal trainer and co-founder of the group Chicago Flips Red, Danielle Carter-Walters, stated that communities in the city are in a state of chaos. She described a widespread feeling of destruction and devastation, with people being forced from their homes by undocumented immigrants.
According to the Chicago Sun Times, as a resident of the South Side, Carter-Walters said she is living with the reality of the situation. She explained that individuals cannot even sit in their vehicles without worrying about being robbed, mugged, shot, or carjacked. She indicated that a large number of Black women quietly support the same political views that she holds.
