Our baby is here...and what a magical girl she is: Alia Bhatt writes on welcoming a little princess with Ranbir Kapoor

November 6 will forever be a very special day for celebrity couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who welcomed their little bundle of joy on this date -- a beautiful baby girl.

Confirming the baby's arrival on Instagram, Alia shared a beautiful post that read, "And in the best news of our lives :- Our baby is here...and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!! love love love, Alia and Ranbir."

Ranbir and Alia arrived at the HN Reliance hospital early this morning and were joined by Ranbir's mom Neetu Kapoor, as well as Alia's mom and sister -- Soni Razdan and Shaheen Bhatt.

Ahead of welcoming his first grandchild, Alia's father Mahesh Bhatt spoke with ETimes, saying, "Waiting for a new sun to rise. A fresh sparkling dew drop of life."

Fans, friends and members of the family flooded Alia’s post with congratulatory messages.

“Congratulations darling girl cannot wait to see your princess,” actor and new mommy Sonam Kapoor wrote.

Their ‘Brahmastra’ co-star Mouni Roy penned, “Heartiest congratulations Alia & Ranbir. All my love, only love for your angel.”

The couple announced in June that they were expecting through a social media post. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the new addition to the Kapoor and Bhatt families.

The couple also went for a babymoon in August in Italy, to spend some time together and unwind before the big day comes.

During the initial stages of her pregnancy, Alia also shot for her upcoming Hollywood debut 'Heart Of Stone' with Gal Gadot. Sharing her experience of shooting action scenes during pregnancy, she told Variety, "It was my first Hollywood big English picture experience, and I had quite a task at hand because I was shooting for the first time an action movie. But I’m also pregnant, so there were so many layers for me to deal with. But they made it so seamless and so easy and so comfortable for me."

She also launched her maternity fashion line at her clothing brand 'Ed-A-Mamma,' for comfortable and fashionable clothes for pregnant women.
