Oti Mabuse set to perform on Dancing On Ice after quitting Strictly Come Dancing

Oti Mabuse will be performing on Dancing On Ice after quitting Strictly Come Dancing.

The 31-year-old is set to treat fans of the skating show with her moves following her exit from Strictly after seven years as a professional.

The dancer will perform on the stage above the rink as the DOI pros skate around it.

“I’m so honoured that Jayne and Christopher have choreographed the talented pro skaters for this special performance," she told The Sun.

“It’s a dream come true to debut my I Am Here tour on Dancing On Ice this Sunday!

“This tour will be the end of the most amazing chapter of my life and it’s my way to say thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey.”

TV bosses say Oti's involvement will result in a "fusion of ice and dance".

Oti has enjoyed an impressive career on Strictly and lifted the Glitterball twice.

A source claimed that Oti was becoming a bigger star than many of the celebrities on the show.

A TV insider said: “While BBC bosses are obviously sad to see Oti leave Strictly, it does solve the growing problem of finding celebrities who could match her appeal.

She has joined the judging panel alongside Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean (ITV)

Announcing her departure on Instagram, she said: "Never easy to say goodbye I have been part of the most amazing TV show, Strictly Come Dancing for the past seven years and it has been an incredible time.

"Lifting the glitter ball twice and having the best journey with all my celebrities, but also meeting and working with the best team, crew, producers, celebs and incredible professional dancers!" she penned.

"You are my family and I adore you all forever. Thank you @sarahjamesface @jack.will.g and @jasongilkison for truly believing in me."

She added a selection of photos to the heartfelt post of her with Ugo Monye, Anthony Ogogo, Danny Mac, Jonnie Peacock, Graeme Swann, Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey.

Sarah James, Executive Producer of Strictly Come Dancing said: "Oti has been a truly wonderful part of Strictly for the past seven years.

"Her energy, creativity and talent have contributed to so many of the show’s most memorable moments and she will be hugely missed, not only by viewers but the entire team.
