During her time on Strictly Come Dancing Oti won the show twice with Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher in 2019 and in 2020 with comedian Bill Bailey.

Throughout the 2021 series, Oti had been hinting that it might have been her last series and her recent moves and deals with ITV appear to have confirmed this.

Now Strictly Come Dancing have announced the news with a very kind and sweet statement, they said:

"Oti has been a truly wonderful part of Strictly for the past seven years...she will be hugely missed, not only by viewers but the entire team."

"We couldn't be prouder of Oti and what she has achieved. She will always be at the very heart of our Strictly family and we wish her every success in her already bright future."

In 2022 Oti joined ITV's Dancing On Ice as a judge, where she replaced John Barrowman and has been announced as the host of the new ITV dating show Romeo & Duet, where love matches are made through the power of singing.

Oti will also be moving away from her sister Motsi Mabuse who is a judge on Strictly Come Dancing and has posted her own goodbye to Strictly Come Dancing on Instagram.

She said: "Never easy to say goodbye. I have been part of the most amazing TV show, Strictly Come Dancing for the past seven years and it has been an incredible time."

"I can't put into words how difficult this decision has been...to everyone, my family especially, friends, strictly fans and judges...you are irreplaceable in my heart and have made every day unforgettable! I love you."
