Oscar-winning actor admits he’s ‘off the wagon’ after seven years of sobriety

  • Brad Pitt revealed he has resumed drinking in moderation after remaining completely sober for seven years.
  • Speaking to Esquire , the 62-year-old actor stated he now drinks in a more restrained manner and must remain professional about his alcohol intake. “No, I got—I was sober for seven years. And then I got back off the wagon.”
  • Pitt originally stopped drinking in 2016 following his highly publicized split from Angelina Jolie.
  • The Oscar winner previously credited Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and fellow actor Bradley Cooper with helping him achieve sobriety .
  • In the same interview, Pitt disclosed that he once experienced suicidal thoughts while navigating painful family difficulties.
