Australian Oscar Piastri has said he is ready to bounce back after a "disappointing" debut two weeks ago.
The McLaren driver's first F1 race lasted 15 laps before a car failure forced him to retire from the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The race was not the start to the season McLaren hoped for, with Piastri's teammate Lando Norris pitting more than any other driver with separate car troubles, keeping him out of the points.
Round two will be held early Monday morning in Saudi Arabia, with the famed British team hoping to open their account on the championship points table.
Piastri said the most important thing his team can do is maintain confidence despite the rocky start to the season.
"Whilst the result last week was obviously disappointing for my first F1 race, I learned a lot and it's important we all keep our heads held high," he said."
"I know the team are working extremely hard to turn it around from Bahrain and make the best car possible for Lando and myself.
"We'll keep pushing forward as a team and I have full confidence that we'll get to where we want to be."
The street track around Jeddah is one of the fastest circuits on the F1 calendar.
The fast, sweeping corners with barriers and walls not too far away from the drivers mean an accident can happen at any moment.
Piastri has experience and success around the Jeddah circuit.
He won the Formula 2 feature race in 2021, which ultimately set up his championship victory.
"I'm looking forward to going racing at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit," he said.
"I've raced here previously in F2 so I have some experience of the track's speedy nature and I'm excited to get out there in an F1 car.
"There are some cool features like the fast bends, and it will be my first time on a street track in F1 machinery."
