Here’s something you don’t see every day.
The Baltimore Orioles put on a fireworks show Thursday night, plating 14 runs in an ultimate 14-1 win against the New York Yankees.
Yet the O’s manager, Brandon Hyde, was tossed by an ump after about five seconds of arguing.
Very weird.
Wandy Peralta nailed Colton Cowser with a pitch in the eighth inning, perhaps on purpose thanks to the Orioles hitting everything out, and it looked like Hyde was wondering why Peralta wasn’t tossed for that move.
And Dan Iassogna tossed him. Which doesn’t make a ton of sense! It’s a good argument, and Hyde didn’t seem THAT heated.

His response later on was pretty funny:
Brandon Hyde: “That's my weirdest ejection of all time. First one up two touchdowns.” https://t.co/ABKlFGJBvj

This is also a record:
Brandon Hyde sets a major league record:
Largest lead of a game a manager has ever been ejected from — Hyde was ejected while the Orioles held a 14-0 lead.
Hyde came out to argue about Yankee pitcher Wandy Peralta, who hit a batter after almost hitting a prior batter.

Too weird.
