Baltimore Orioles broadcaster Kevin Brown had the perfect call Monday night when San Diego Padres star Juan Soto took a foul ball off the groin.
Brown, who had been in the news last week after he was suspended by Orioles brass for comments about the teams record in previous seasons, proved himself once again to be a professional in the seventh inning Monday night. Soto was early on a changeup and tipped it into the dirt, but the hall bounced up and nailed him in the groin. While Soto keeled over in pain, Brown navigated the call flawlessly.
“That is not where you want it,” Brown said. “One replay please. One and done… That’ll hurt your feelings.”
