Hearts' latest midfield signing Orestis Kiomourtzoglou has been registered in their Europa Conference League squad as a wait for the green light on his ability to play goes on.
The midfielder from Germany has signed a three year deal after time in the Netherland at Heracles Almelo. But he has been left frustrated with The Home Office yet to rubber-stamp the necessary paperwork that would allow him to make his debut, having missed last week's matches with Kilmarnock and Livingston.
Manager Robbie Neilson leads his team into their European group stage opener against Istanbul Basaksehir on Thursday and has included his new midfielder so that he is ready to go for Hearts when the time comes. Neilson told the Edinburgh Evening News : "He is registered for Europe so we are just waiting for the documents to come through. When the visa comes he is good to go. But we don’t know if it will take another day or another month.

"He is fit because he has been playing and training with his other club, so he is ready to go.”
It's been a tough week for the Jambos after being eliminated from the Premier Sports Cup against Kilmarnock and losing by the same 1-0 scoreline on Premiership business versus Livingston on Saturday.
They paid £350,000 to bring Kiomourtzoglou over to Tynecastle from Holland and are still looking at the free agency market for potential signings.
