Oran Kearney has played down suggestions Glenavon have become a bogey team for his Coleraine side.
You have to go back to March 2020 for the Bannsiders' last win over the Lurgan Blues, but Kearney feels they are more than capable of going to Mourneview Park this afternoon and putting the record straight.
"It's been a while since we've gone there and got a result, either home or away, it just seems," he said.
"There's no such thing as a bogey team – for me, we've got to go and get a performance.
"We went through a spell where we had a pile of wins against them over the years so we have to work hard to get back to that again."
It has been a frustrating season to date for Kearney and Coleraine as they have struggled to find consistency in their performances.
But the Bannsiders boss hopes last week's draw with Glentoran can give them the shot in the arm they need.
"The bar has been set and we hope last Friday night's performance kick-starts our season," said Kearney.
"There has been a huge amount of change, and that's natural and normal, but we have to set that bar and we have to set that identity I think more than anything else.
"A lot of new players can't come in and do what they want to do, I think it's more important that all the players come in and buy into what we are and how we go about things."
Elsewhere in the Irish League this afternoon Niall Curries takes his Portadown side to Carrick Rangers for the second time since taking over the Shamrock Park hot seat again.
And Crusaders will be hoping to put their defeat to Ballymena United behind them as they entertain Newry City at Seaview.
