Optical illusion: Can you tell if these are cassettes or buses in this viral picture?

The visual equivalent of brain exercise is optical illusion. They deceive our minds into seeing things that aren't actually there, producing an entertaining and exciting visual display. These deceptions come in all different forms and sizes, and they never cease to astound us. The fact that optical illusions demonstrate how easily our brains can be misled is one of their most fascinating aspects. And let's face it, who doesn't occasionally like a nice mind-bender?

Another fantastic technique to unite people is through illusions. They provide for interesting discourse, and dissecting illusions with friends or family can be entertaining. They can also be a fun way to kill time. A recent online illusion that appears to show an image of a bus and a stack of cassette tapes has gone viral, confusing many onlookers.

At first sight, the image in the widely shared optical illusion appears to be both a bus and a stack of cassette tapes. A page that posed the question to its followers, "What do you see?" posted the photograph to Instagram.

A teenage social media user who spotted both a bus and cassette tapes commented, "I am 15 and I know what a cassette tape looks like, but I can see both," while another felt it looked more "like 8 tracks." Some others correctly identified the optical illusion, while others were perplexed or responded jokingly.

A third person quipped about the artist's leisure time, "I see someone that doesn't have a job and has too much time on their hands." Another user voiced their concern and inquired, "If they are buses, how do you open the door to get out?"

Have you found the answer yet?

If the illusion is still making you feel confused, we can tell you that the object in this optical illusion is a bus. Even though it might initially appear to be a stack of cassette tapes, the busses are arranged to form a pattern that closely matches the shape of tapes.
