Washington: South Asia analyst Michael Kugelman said on Saturday that the 18th BRICS Summit offers India, the chair, a pivotal platform to reassert its global leadership and strengthen ties with the Global South amid growing volatility in the international order.
Analysing the geopolitical landscape surrounding the summit, Kugelman noted that the gathering comes at a crucial juncture as developing nations seek alternatives to the existing global framework.
